      As part of providing notarial and related services I deal with information relating to individuals. I am responsible for how I deal with personal information affecting individuals and can be contacted as per the contact information on my website.

      I deal with information relating to my clients for the purposes of providing notarial, legalisation and related legal services to our clients. I do this relevant to the legal work I carry out as a notary and this might include names, passport information, contact details and any other personal data relating to you that you may provide (including as part of my on-boarding and required client due diligence under the UK Money Laundering Regulations 2017).

      I shall retain information relating to you for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it is collected taking into consideration the Notaries Practice Rules 2014 (as amended); and under the main data protection laws that affect business in the UK - the Data Protection Act 1998 and The General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 ("Data Protection Laws").

      In certain circumstances under Data Protection Laws (and with the following all being subject to my rights as a notary public under such laws):
      (A) you can provide me with a data subject access request to enable you to receive a copy of personal information  held about you and to check that its being lawfully retained (and processed as per the Data Protection Laws);
      (B) request correction of any personal information held if you wish to update/correct information that I retain;
      (C) request erasure of personal information (provided that if UK/English/Scottish law prevents this for any reason at a time of request, you will be notified in writing of this);
      (D) you can object to the processing or retention of information if its against your basic rights relevant to your freedoms/marketing rights under UK/English/Scottish law, however this is subject to such laws as applicable and each request will be request for adequacy under such laws upon any such request;
      (E) you can request request restrictive processing of your personal information under the Data Protection Laws;
      (F) you may ask for transfer of your personal information to you or to a third party;
      (G) you can withdraw consent to process or retain at any time however if you do so I may have to inform you that I must withdraw from being able to provide any future notarial services for you depending on the circumstances.

      Any requests relevant to (A) to (G) above will be reviewed and reverted upon within no more than 4-6 weeks of receipt.  If any request is without grounds, undue in any way, in breach of Data Protection Laws, or with a view to obtaining notarial services without compensation, you will be notified of the same at the time of any perceived breach of Data Protection Laws request to establish whether there are grounds for refusal or referral to the Information Commissioner's Office for guidance on any such request.
      Checks on identity to clarify the request is correct will need to be made to ensure that a data breach does not take place which may include having to arrange to meet in person with all forms of identity.

If meetings are sought out of usual business hours for banks in the City of London, a premium may be charged to arrange for a meeting room to carry out work if required the same day.
Emergency/same-day appointments may be possible provided that there is diary-time and the work required can be done in its entirety - on the day, however, and as a general rule of thumb, it is generally advisable to make an advance arrangement to meet.
All legalisation, courier, translation and other relevant disbursements are separate costs to basic notarial work carried out.
